Poldo, Don. Don Poldo was created by the Italian author Tito Antonio Spagnol (Alfred Gusman) and appeared in La Bambola Insanguinata (1935) and Uno, Due, Tre (1936).
Don Poldo is an elderly Italian priest, living in the hills overlooking Formeniga, who is fascinated by the natural sciences. He also solves crimes, motivated primarily by pity for the criminals. Poldo’s detective style depends largely on intuition.
