Piper, Katherine. Katherine Piper was created by Amelia Reynolds Long (Steve Carter, Patrick Laing, Edward Trelawny) and appeared in seven novels from 1940 to 1951, beginning with The Corpse at the Quill Club.

Katherine “Peter” Piper is an intelligent, attractive young writer of detective novels and a member of the Quill Club, a group of women writers. Whether through the Quill Club, while working with criminal psychologist Ted Trelawny, or through her boyfriend Amadee, “Peter” continually finds crimes to solve.
