O’Rourke, Molly. Molly O’Rourke was created by Frank King (Dormouse, Clarence Knight) and appeared in seventeen stories in The Passing Show from 1936 to 1940?, beginning with “The Absence of Mary Brantwood” (The Passing Show, 1936); the stories were collected in Molly on the Spot (1940).

Molly O’Rourke is the almoner at the Royal Edward Hospital in London. In that post she adroitly handles a variety of situations involving the patients and the accidents or crimes which put them in the hospital. She is a beautiful redhead, loved by all.
