New Buffalo Bill. The New Buffalo Bill appeared in the German dime novel Der Neue Buffalo #1-110 (1920-1922).
The New Buffalo Bill is a cowboy and scout on the western frontier of the United States and Canada in the last decades of the 19th century. He fights natives and evil white men, ranging from Mombu the Creeping Fox to the “King of the Indians” to Diana’s Grizzly Bear to Yellow Peril Chinese to the Red Tiger to the Heroes of Ironhand to the Devil of Ludlok Hollow.
Buffalo appears in stories with titles like “The Death Telegram,” “Brandabuk, the Hyena,” and “The Blood Pearl of the Black Sea.”
