Modern Thief. The Modern Thief was created by the Danish author Niels Meyn (Count Basil, Kurt Danner, Gentleman Detective, Lord Kingsley, Lord Lister, John Mac Carty, Mister X, Count Sterling) and appeared in Den Moderne Gentlemantyv #1-4 (1936).

The Modern Thief is a Lupin, as well-dressed as A.J. Raffles but very much a product of the modern world (that is, the 1930s), in dress, in manner, and in his methods.

The Modern Thief appears in stories with titles like, “The World’s Boldest Bank Robber,” “The Lethal Gold Mine,” and “Midnight’s Hyenas.”
