Mister E. Mister E. appeared in several dozen stories in Film Fun from 1926 to 1932.

Mister E is a man of mystery who helps “any man, woman or child who is in need of urgent or genuine assistance,” but only if that person sends a written response to one of Mister E.’s advertisements. Mister E. works out of a well-appointed consulting room in a spacious mansion, and is assisted by a large black man-servant and by Ling Su, a Chinese valet who is the only person to know Mister E.’s real name.
