Miller, James. James Miller was created by Maurice Dix (Simon Bullion, Tommy Malins) and appeared in Murder at Grassmere Abbey (1933) and Fleetwood Mansions Mystery (1934).

Chief Inspector James “Jimmy” Miller works for Scotland Yard. He is a methodical Scotsman who is “full bottomed” and “steady and dependable.” He is not dour, though, and has a healthy sense of humor. He is a large man with a “somewhat fleshy, rubicund face.” He is assisted by the clever, irreverent Canadian, Inspector Gordon Frewin.
