Meirschultz, Dr. Dr. Meirschultz was created by Hildegarde Stadie and appeared in the film Maniac (1932).

Dr. Meirschultz is a Mad Scientist. A vaudevillian on the run from the police goes to work for Dr. Meirschultz, who is perfecting a serum to revive the dead. Meirschultz tries to get the vaudevillian to commit suicide, but the vaudevillian shoots and kills Meirschultz instead. However, the vaudevillian is forced to imitate Meirschultz to fool the police, but the impersonation works too well and the vaudevillian goes insane.
