Matto, Dr. Dr. Matto appeared in a number of stores in Wizard between 1934 and 1936.

Dr. Matto is a Mad Scientist. “Dr. Matto – the Man Who Knocked Out the World,” is a scientist and explorer who discovers a new species of centipede in the Amazon Valley. These centipedes secrete a new chemical which induces a sleep-like coma which only Dr. Matto holds the antidote for. Naturally, Dr. Matto decides to use his new discovery for his own financial gain, and begins sending the centipedes in glass phials to people and then sending a ransom note to their next of kin. On one occasion he does this to the House of Commons.
