Mason, Rod. Rod Mason was created by Edward Reginald Home-Gall (Colwyn Dane, Don Sabre, Victor Gaunt, Hawkeye (I), Mad Carew, Jim Mason (II), Rough-Diamond Rudd, John Silent, Speed-Boat Trackers) and appeared in at least two story serials in Wild West Weekly (U.K.) in 1938 and 1939, beginning with “The Mounties Kicked Him Out” (Wild West Weekly (U.K.), July 9, 1938).
Rod Mason is a Wanted Man. Mason was happy to be a Mountie, and loved his job, but he was framed by a group of bad men and forced to wander across Canada and eventually the world, pursued by other agents of law enforcement. As he travels, he solves crimes and captures criminals. Eventually he clears his name and is reinstated into the R.C.M.P.
