Lonergan, Leatherface. Leatherface Lonergan was created by the Australian author Peter Renwick and appeared in Leatherface Lonergan Stakes a Claim (1936), Black Hogan Strikes Again (1937), and Red Saunders Bites the Dust (1938).

Leatherface Lonergan is a miner and bush adventurer who works in the Victorian plains around the township of Tumbagabla. He has a running duel with the evil bushranger Black Hogan, and is forced to solve several of the crimes Black Hogan commits.
