Li-Sin. Li-Sin was created by “Nigel Vane,” the pseudonym of Gerald Verner (Robert Budd, Michael Dene), and appeared in The Menace of Li-Sin (1930) and The Vengeance of Li-Sin (1935).

Prince Li-Sin is a Yellow Peril. He is the head abbott at the Buddhist Temple of Tsao-Sun in China, from which young Englishman Jack Mallory has stolen the sacred Black Idol. Li-Sin dispatches dangerous emissaries to retrieve it, setting into motion a desperate conflict between Li-Sin’s forces and self-appointed sleuth Dr. James Hartley and the men of Scotland Yard.
