Lepicq, Prosper. Prosper Lepicq was created by the French author Pierre Véry and appeared in ten novels from 1934 to 1949, beginning with M. Marcel des Pompes Funèbres.

Prosper Lepicq is a French lawyer who takes on a variety of cases, assisted by his secretary Jugonde. Lepicq is aggressive in pursuit of cases, and often approaches potential clients, rather than waiting for them to approach him. His modus operandi is a combination of logical deduction and instinct. Lepicq is willing to impersonate others and to lie to gain his own ends, but he is a good and brave man who willingly risks his life to help others. He has an owlish face.
