Lee, Black Hawk. Black Hawk Lee was created by “Andrew A. Griffin,” a Street & Smith pseudonym used in this case by T.W. Ford (Hunt Canning, Two-Shot Billy Murtol, Silver Kid), and appeared in six stories in Wild West Weekly in 1937, beginning with “The Black Hawk” (Wild West Weekly, May 1, 1937).
Black Hawk Lee is a wandering cowboy on the western frontier of the United States in the years after the American Civil War. He is a vigilante, but one with bad taste in friends, and this leads him into trouble on more than one occasion.
