Lecoq, Jean. Jean Lecoq was created by “Pierre Saurel,” the pseudonym of the Canadian author Pierre Daignault (IXE-13), and appeared in Fameux Détectives Exploits du Merveilleux Détective Jean Lecoq #1-55 (1943-1948).

Jean Lecoq is a private detective operating out of Montreal. His stories sometimes verge on the fantastic, such as “The Secrets of Dr. Vincent,” about an Evil Surgeon. He appears in stories with titles like “The Perfect Crime,” “The Crime of a Great Actor,” and “Rats in a Trap.”
