Lance, Bill. Bill Lance was created by J. Donald Wilson and appeared in the radio show The Adventures of Bill Lance (1944-1945, 1947-1948).
Bill Lance is “that ace of criminologists, whose daring exploits and infallible accuracy have earned him, from the underworld, the nickname ‘Fer de Lance,’ the deadliest of reptiles, so swift, so sure, that it never misses.” Lance is assisted by the simple (though tough) Higgins. Lance’s cases take him around the world, from South American cafes to the waterfronts of North Africa.
