Lakelund, Ace. Ace Lakelund was created by the pseudonymous “An Ex-Operative” and appeared in “Millions in the Mint” (Scotland Yard, Mar 1931) and “An Inside Job” (Scotland Yard, Apr. 1931).

Ace Lakelund is a top agent for the Treasury Department, ferreting out extortioners, blackmailers, counterfeiters, and spies. He had been in “Uncle Sam’s intelligence section during the war,” and applies what he learned then to the more difficult problems of Prohibition America.
