La Foudre, Alain. Alain la Foudre was created by the Italian author Carlo Cossio (Ciclone, Dick Fulmine, Jack Hilton) and appeared in Victoire #1-36 (1938-1940).

Alain la Foudre is a tall, brawny, brawling French-American detective. His cases take him across the United States, from the steel canyons of New York City to the stone canyons of the southwest, and he occasionally ventures to Europe in pursuit of a criminal or simply adventure. His stories occasionally verge on the fantastic, as in the image above.

La Foudre appears in stories with titles like “The Gulf of Darkness,” “The Invincible Fighter,” and “The Great Motor Race.”
