Kunlun Monks. The Kunlun Monks were created by the Chinese author Xiang Kairen (Gui Wu (I), Huo Yuanjia, Zeng Fuchou) and appeared in the story serial “Jianghu Qi Xia Zhuan” (Hong Zazhi, 1923-1924; Hong Meigui, 1924-1928).

The Kunlun Monks are Nüxia/Wüxia. They belong to the Kunlun school and engage in a long duel, filled with martial arts, with the competing Kongdong martial arts school for supremacy. They are both challenged by a third martial arts school, one which makes use of sorcery. The Kunlun and Kongdong wüxia unite to fight the third school, defeat them, and then realize that they have much more in common than they had supposed and can live together in harmony.
