Kolokotronis, Fon. Fon Kolokotronis (?-?) was a Greek policeman who was the grandson of Theodoros Kolokotronis (1770-1843), a Greek general during Greece’s War of Independence. The Greek author Aristeidis Kiriakos fictionalized Fon Kolokotronis as a Nat Pinkerton-style crimefighter in the serial novel The Black Bandit Chief and Fon Kolokotronis (1914-1915). Ilias Okonomopoulos (Kiriakos' successor) produced a sequel starring Kolokotronis, The Eagle of Morea in Paris and Fon Kolokotronis (1922).
