Koa, Komako. Komako Koa was created by Max Freedom Long and appeared Murder Between Dark and Dark (1939), Lava Flow Murders (1940), and Death Goes Native (1941).

Komako Koa is a native Hawaiian who works as a plantation policeman. He is large, strong, kind, and slow to anger. He also is committed to honoring native Hawaiians and works on their behalf as much as on the behalf of white Hawaiians.
