Ko Daùng. Ko Daùng was created by the Burmese author Maung Htin and appeared in a number of stories from 1935 to 1947, beginning with “The Love Line.”

Ko Daùng is a Burmese peasant and Everyman who lives through a harrowing series of events, including the Japanese occupation, and is killed during the war.
