King, Alex. Alex King was created by the Mexican creators Ramón Berman and Antonio Gutiérrez (Richard, White & Brown, Robert Young) and appeared in the comic strip “Alex King” (Pepin, May 26-Sept 15, 1938).

“Alex King” is modeled on “Terry and the Pirates” (see Terry Lee) and Alex King is modeled on Pat Ryan. Alex King is a famous big game hunter active in India. He encounters Dr. Bax, a scientist who is working on a method to revive the dead using the retina of the sacred lemur. King falls in love with Bax’s daughter and begins defending them both against their enemies, both Indian and British.
