Kindaichi Kosuke. Kindaichi Kosuke was created by the Japanese author Yokomizo Seishi and appeared in a number of novels from 1947 to the mid-1950s, beginning with Honjin Satsujin Jiken.
Kindaichi Kosuke is a young, carefree private detective in post-war Japan. He is always clad in a kimono and hakama, although he is a sloppy dresser, and when he grows excited (which is often) dandruff showers down from his messy hair. He is usually unkempt and stammers. He is relatively intelligent and better at deduction than the police.
