Kelly, Cocksure. Cocksure Kelly was created by “Pat Haynes,” the pseudonym of Ernest McKeag (Catch-‘em-Alive Carr, Clipper Craig, Nick Norton, Stanton Stern, Malcolm Swift), and appeared in a number of stories and story serials in Triumph in 1934 and 1935, beginning with the story serial “Cocksure Kelly” (Triumph, Nov. 17-Dec. 29, 1934).

Cocksure Kelly is a detective for British Rail who solves railway-related crimes. He is, as his name hints, vain and over-confident, but events confirm his opinion of himself.
