Jordan, Vic. Vic Jordan was created by "Paine," the pseudonym of Kermit Jaediker and Charles Zerner, and appeared in the comic strip “Vic Jordan” (1941-1945).

Jordan is a press agent for an American musical show which has the misfortune to be caught in Paris when the Germans occupy it. Jordan escapes from Paris only a step ahead of the Gestapo and joins the French resistance. Assisted by former prizefighter Marty O'Brien and the curvaceous British agent Sue, Jordan wages his own private war on the Germans, blowing up bridges, killing patrols and outposts, and smuggling Allied pilots and P.O.W.s back to Britain. When the Allies liberate France, Jordan goes into Germany and fights there before being wounded and shipped home in April 1945.
