Jones, Padlock. Padlock Jones was created by W.L. Riordan and appeared in three stories in Snap-Shots and The New York Times Magazine Supplement in 1903, beginning with “An Easy Case for Padlock Jones” (Snap-Shots, June 20, 1903).

Padlock Jones is a Great Detective. He is a Sherlock Holmes parody who is assisted by Dr. Jotson.
