Jerusalem. Jerusalem was created by the Spanish author A. Ibañez Barranquero and appeared in Jerusalén y Babilonia (1927).

In the far distant future sunspots have rendered much of the Earth uninhabitable. The only place that humans can survive and thrive is along the equator. So the Spanish have created Jerusalem, a utopia of SCIENCE! Other countries have their own sanctuaries, but Jerusalem is their superior, thanks to the devout religious beliefs of the Spaniards and their strong form of government, which is exactly like that of Spain in the 1920s.
