Zofia Jastrzebska is a Great Detective modeled on Ethel King. Jastrzebska is a female Polish immigrant living in New York City and working as a consulting detective. She is well-known and is active in both America and Poland. She has a male assistant who often rescues her from physical perils, although she is the one who comes up with the solutions to crimes. In one case she takes on William Pinkerton, an Evil Surgeon modeled on private detective, strike-breaker, and enemy of the working man Allan Pinkerton (1819-1884).
