Japanese Patriots. The Japanese Patriots were created by the Japanese author Oshikawa Shunro (Captain Sakuragi) and appeared in the story serial “Tessha Okoku” (Boken Sekai, 1910).

The Japanese Patriots are a group of Japanese men who have gone to a secluded island somewhere in the South Pacific and created a technologically-advanced nation, the “Iron Car Kingdom” of the serial’s title. From there the Patriots help the Asian peoples of the world to fight against their true enemy, the White Peril, “the false civilization of the West.”
