Japanese Farmer. The Japanese Farmer appeared in the Japanese kamishibai (stories for children told by wandering performers) Cry of the Andes in the 1930s.

The Japanese Farmer has moved to the Chilean Andes to farm, but he gets on the wrong side of the Bat, the masked leader of a ring of horse-riding bandits, and various Western hijinks ensue, including horse chases and the robbing of a train carrying gold.
