Jackson, Jimmie. Jimmie Jackson was created by the German author Doug J. Layton and appeared in Vagabunden des Schienenweges #1-17 (1929-1932).

Jimmie Jackson is an adventurer who wanders the rails of America, doing good wherever he goes, in the guise of a hobo. He used to be a homeless wanderer but worked his way up to become a police detective. His focus now is on railway crimes, especially among the hobos who ride the rails. Jackson appears in stories with titles like “The Mysterious Dutchman,” “The Testament of the Hobos,” and “The Chinese Cook.”
