Huxford, Rex. Rex Huxford was created by Cromwell Gibbons and appeared in Murder in Hollywood (1936) and The Bat Woman (1938).
Rex Huxford is a private detective who has a couple of mobsters working for him as well as a racist stereotype named Zipp. Huxford confronts an interesting variety of enemies, including Dr. Eric von Schalkenbach, an Evil Surgeon who turns women into vampires by transforming their “duckless gland,” and a female vampire.
