Hunter, Bob (I). Bob Hunter (I) was created by “George Thruston Burr,” the pseudonym of Gilbert Patten (Bainbridge, Frank and Dick Merriwell), and appeared in The Dime Novel #1-2 (1930-1931).

Bob Hunter (I) is a private detective active in New York City during Prohibition. He is active against bootleggers and the “Boss of the Rum Runners.”
