Hu Xian. Hu Xian appeared in a series of stories in a Chinese newspaper in the late 1910s. 

Hu Xian is a Chinese Great Detective. He is known as the "Sherlock Holmes in the Corner" because he solves ordinary, domestic crimes among ordinary, domestic Chinese, quite unlike the crimes and customers who Holmes deals with.
