Hopper, George F. George F. Hopper was created by “Bertrand Royal,” possibly the pseudonym of Florence Mae Pettee (Dr. Nancy Dayland, Digby Gresham, Beau Quicksilver), and appeared in fourteen stories and serials in Flynn’s and Flynn’s Weekly from 1924 to 1926, beginning with “The Trail Invisible” (Flynn’s, Sept 20, 1924).

George F. Hopper is a former inspector for the Queen City detective bureau, now retired to private investigation and marriage. Hopper uses science to solve crimes, and is brilliant, if affected.
