Holmes, Suburban. Suburban Holmes was created by the pseudonymous “Slippery Elm” and appeared in two stories in The San Francisco Chronicle from Oct 9-16, 1921, beginning with “Suburban Holmes, Sleuth of Sleuths: The Great Powder Puff Mystery" (San Francisco Chronicle, Oct. 9, 1921).
Suburban Holmes is a Great Detective. He is a Sherlock Holmes parody.
