Hickmott, Inspector. Inspector Hickmott was created by R.M. Freeman and appeared in seven stories in The Grand Magazine and Flynn’s from 1910 to 1926, beginning with “The Clue of the New Half-Crown” (The Grand Magazine, Dec. 1910). Hickmott is a Detective Inspector for Scotland Yard. He is an intelligent, insightful detective.
