Hepburn, Howdy. Howdy Hepburn was created by W.C. Tuttle (Cultus Collins, Henry Conroy, Happy-Hay, Hashknife Hartley, Sad Sontag, Tombstone and Speedy, Warwhoop Wilson) and appeared in seven stories in a variety of pulps from 1931 to 1952, beginning with “Joner of Ark” (West, Mar. 18, 1931).

Howdy Hepburn and his partner Terry McCune are a pair of comedy cowboy detectives.
