Head, Inspector. Inspector Head was created by E. Charles Vivian (Inspector Byrne, Rex Coulson, Gees, Victor Marshall) and appeared in twelve novels from 1934 to 1939, beginning with Shadow on the House.

Inspector Head is an alert, middle-aged investigator for Scotland Yard, working in the suburb of Westingborough. He is a veteran of World War One and finds the skills he learned in battle to be useful in solving crimes. He is a cousin of Inspector Byrne.
