Hausen, Ralph. Ralph Hausen was created by the German author Gustav Renker and appeared in Das Tier im Sumpf (1932).

Ralph Hausen is a German big game hunter who goes to the jungles of west Africa in search of the largest game of all: the brontosaurus. Hausen finds a brontosaurus, and other surviving Lost Race dinosaurs, in a remote African swamp, but dies while killing the brontosaurus, leaving his wife and the family doctor, who accompanied Hausen on the hunt, to raise their son. The son grows up as an innocent among the native Mlavi people, but his contact with civilization poisons him.
