Hatteras, Dick. Dick Hatteras was created by Stanley Foster and appeared in four stories in Jungle Stories from 1938 to 1950, beginning with “White Savage” (Jungle Stories, Winter 1938).

“Taboo” Dick Hatteras is a Jungle Hero modeled on Tabu Dick. He is active in the jungles of Africa, but thanks to a tabu placed on him by his father the natives refuse to harm Hatteras.
