Harrison, Clay. Clay Harrison was created by Clifton Robbins and appeared in five novels from 1931 to 1935, beginning with Dusty Death.

Clay Harrison is an English private detective. Harrison is well-known–so much so that he has a number of visitors every day, and is forced to employ an assistant, Henry, who judges which visitors Harrison will agree to help. Harrison has great knowledge of “philosophy, psychology, knowledge of modern languages, and everything else.” Several of his cases involve espionage.
