Harker, Kay. Kay Harker was created by John Masefield and appeared in The Midnight Folk (1927) and The Box of Delights (1935). Kay Harker is a young boy who in The Midnight Folk goes treasure hunting at night, as he dreams. With the help of his animated and intelligent toys he eventually discovers the treasure, which belonged to his great-grandfather. In The Box of Delights Harker is given a magic box by a Punch and Judy man. The box allows Harker to travel back in time to the time of King Arthur and then the fall of Troy.
