Hare, Kathlyn. Kathlyn Hare was created by Harold McGrath and appeared in the film serial The Adventures of Kathlyn (1914).

Kathlyn Hare is the daughter of the famous big game hunter Colonel Hare. She is given a packet of papers “to be opened at midnight, December 31^st.” But the Hindu Yellow Peril character Umballah discovers what is in the papers, so when Kathlyn arrives in India to read the papers Umballah has her crowned “queen” by the natives and has himself brought forward as her chosen husband. Kathlyn survives attempts at marriage and murder and the attacks of lions before triumphing over Umballah.
