Hardy Boys. Frank and Joe Hardy were created by “Franklin W. Dixon,” the pseudonym of Edward Stratemeyer (Baseball Joe, Amos Henderson, Minute Boys, Motor Boys, Dave Porter, Rover Boys, Russell Brothers, Ted Scott, Speedwell Boys, X Bar X Boys) and Leslie McFarlane (Michael Brent, Dana Girls, Dave Dashaway, Perry Pierce) and appeared in 190 novels from 1926 to the present, beginning with The Tower Treasure.

Frank and Joe Hardy are the teenaged sons of nationally-famous private detective Fenton Hardy. The Hardy family lives in Bayport, on the east coast of the United States. The Hardy Boys, with their friends Chet Morton, Biff Hooper, and Tony Prito, solve a wide variety of crimes, both in the United States and around the world.
