Harding, Fred. Fred Harding was created by “Aladra Septama,” the pseudonym of Judson W. Reeves (Inspector Mansonby), and appeared in “The Princess of Arelli” (Amazing Stories Quarterly, Summer 1930) and “The Terrors of Arelli” (Amazing Stories Quarterly, Fall 1930). Fred Harding is a Planetary Romance Hero. He is a world-renowned astronomer. One night he lets his friend Tony Upton know that he has discovered that a race of humanoid aliens lives on the moon, and further that he has been in contact with them and married Altara, the aliens’ daughter, via a televised ceremony. Harding travels to the moon to meet Altara but is then forced to rescue her from kidnaping. In the sequel the aliens explain their history to Harding.
