Ham & Egg. Ham & Egg were created by Alfred L. Garry and appeared in sixty-six stories in a variety of pulps from 1935 to 1951, beginning with “Me and Ham Detectives” (Cowboy Stories, Sept. 1935).
Deputy Ham & Sheriff Egg are a pair of comedy cowboys who quarrel and solve crimes. They work to “keep the stockholders of the Deep Gulch Mine from being highgraded into the poor house.”
