Wraye poses as a medium for the ghost of “Monsieur Guillaume,” a French prefect of police, and Keels pretends to have psychic abilities. The pair use this to swindle gullible citizens out of money. But Wraye and Keels also work together as private detectives, and in that they are successful, honest, and profitable.
