Guy and Ghost. Guy and Ghost were created by Lester Griswold and appeared in five stories in The Popular Magazine in 1909, beginning with “The Perfume and the Poppy” (The Popular Magazine, Aug. 1909). Guy and Ghost are Con Men. “Guy and Ghost” are Guy Keels and Cornelius Wraye. Wraye poses as a medium for the ghost of “Monsieur Guillaume,” a French prefect of police, and Keels pretends to have psychic abilities. The pair use this to swindle gullible citizens out of money. But Wraye and Keels also work together as private detectives, and in that they are successful, honest, and profitable.
