Gregory, Dan. Dan Gregory was created by Leland Jamieson (Robert Hurley, Seaboard Airlines) and appeared in Murder Island (1935) and G-Men on Murder Island (1947).

Dan Gregory is a hard-nosed, experienced, self-confident pilot for MYCABA airlines who has nothing but contempt for female pilots but is forced to fly to an uncharted island in the Caribbean when an Amelia Earhart stand-in crashes there and says she was attacked. Gregory discovers that the island is being used by a mobster, and spends a great deal of time rescuing himself and the woman. In the sequel he returns to Murder Island with the Feds.
